very good food and good value for money. the day and the three horse hoes is a traditional pub, but a good one. I enjoyed my squirting and chips with facultative muddy. the squid was fresh and hand shaken boiled perfectly. my mother-in-law enjoyed her sampi and my wife said her rag sterean was cooked when she asked medium. the chips might have been boiled for a little longer, but I'll split haare. for less than £35 t... What User doesn't like about The Stag Three Horse Shoes:
Had the steak, which came out on a sizzling platter. The meat was nice and cooked to the requested temperature, but the heat radiating from the platter meant that I was not able to eat it for some time, by which the side of my steak on the plate had cooked further and the onions underneath were burnt. This was a shame, but the food was reasonably priced and the service was quick. View all feedback.
I was very underwhelmed by my visit. We hadn't been in awhile so thought we would give it another try as we were disappointed with out last visit. The bar service was slow, but once they got to you they were pleasant and served you swiftly. The menu was in my opinion not very self explanatory as to what certain foods belong to what category. I ordered an item thinking it would come plated but it came out on a sizzling skillet and thats is not what was ordered plus the food took a bit to come our to you
Visited for the first time since 2016. bought chicken and specksalat and the fish finger sandwich with a side of twirl rings. really good eating, loved the plate and bowl in which food was served. Drinks I wanted were not available because a syrup was not available, but enjoyed the pfirsich gin spray. very nice atmosphere and enjoyed sitting outside because of the beautiful weather. toilets were clean. the personal was friendly. but can not say that I was impressed that 3 youngs with their tops running around pubs and outside the pubs I see in the hospitality myself and I really do not think that this is acceptable regardless of the weather its very off putting
Beautiful place for a fast meal. very cheap prices on an extensive menu. a little creepy and strange to order everything on the line, although we sat on a table with staff around us. misses this friendliness of the personal service.
More beautiful place to eat, went as a party of 6 and could not blame the food here. everything was boiled to perfection and although we were picky eaters, nothing was too much annoyed. definitely recommend and will be 100% back!
Standard chain pub grub with friendly staff in a tired environment. We visited twice this week to sample their new menu and can say that we experienced food highs and lows. For example, the move from a sizzling bed of onions to that of mixed seasonal veg is a welcomed improvement, but portion sizes for the 'ultimate plate ' curry and sundries were disappointingly meagre. The fajitas were very tasty with wraps bigger than the plate, but lacked a spare plate to load them and sufficient chicken to fill them. I can only hope that the kitchen was so overburdened in this launch week that they had to cut back on portions and rush out the food to meet demand.
