Contribute FeedbackExpensive and ordinary good in a nice setting Service was ok and ambience was pleasant. Our group had fish, steak tartare, pork and pasta, all lacked taste presentation and flair. Not somewhere I would recommend as food is ordinary gor the prices charged.
I’d been looking forward to coming here and it is a beautiful place to be but all our food was cold, the table next to us sent theirs back because it was cold, so a little disappointing as it tasted really good. Wine was superb. Sorry
Place and atmosphere were great but my husband’s tuna was too salty (lot’s of soy sauce) and lobster tagliatelle was prizy compared to the amount of lobster and should have had more taste to it.
Thought I had gotten sick from them but turns out it was Roto virus going around Dubrovnik, so taking my review back up of everything
Three of us dined at Restaurant Sesame. Two had a tasty entree dinner (pork chop and lamb), and we very much enjoyed the baked clams appetizer, though there were only 5. I ordered the lobster flambee tagliatelle, and it was mediocre with a non creative cream sauce and really very little lobster. It was basically 1/2 of a clawless large crawfish, sagitally cut with <50g of lobster meat. Service was pleasant, but spotty they likely needed another waiter for the number of guests. We spent 170Eu for three entrees, baked clams and three beers. Value? For the prices charged, the service should be considerably better, and the details on the food should be higher end. This wasn’t the experience I had hoped for when making the reservation. In general, Dubrovnik is completely overrun by tourists in July, and one consequence is jacked up prices and a thinly veiled contempt toward foreigners. The staff is more professional at Restauant Sesame, so this is less apparent there. Nonetheless, expectations are/should be higher when these prices are charged.
