Oscar's Seafood Bistro

This is by far, the best seafood restaurant I have ever been to. I currently live in Canada full time, came home for Christmas and went to Galway specially to go to this restaurant! (I'm from Sligo). I love everything about this restaurant, the atmosphere, the staff are always so nice and able to give good advice on what's available from the menu. The food, I have never had a bad meal here, it is always flawless! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! If you like seafood, you need to eat here!!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a seafood restaurant on our visit to Galway and found this lovely spot. The food, staff and atmosphere was all top notch! Would recommend!

Had a lovely meal and enjoyed every mouthful. I had the crab pot to start and it was tasty! My better half had the squid/octopus and it was great! We couldn't decide who had the nicer main, between the scallops with fried prawns and hake on curried lentils. Both really great. Thank you to the helpful servers who were there when we needed them!

My husband and I dined at Oscar's in February while visiting Galway. Our waitress Siobhan was amazing. Her descriptions of the dishes and suggestions were spot on. We were having a difficult time deciding between raw oysters and the fried oyster appetizer they were offering as a special, and she offered to do the dozen half and half. Both were delicious, but the fried oyster special was out of this world. Presentation, quality, and staff were all beyond our expectations. Highly reccomend!
