Contribute Feedback Was User at Kathmandu Nepalese a mag?
Located on the first floor in Castle Street, Dalkey. They had good menu options and most food items we had were well prepared. Cost in proportion to portion size. Friendly staff, service was good and the overall restaurant ambience was okay. Could see the place to be busy with continuous takeaways. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Kathmandu Nepalese:
Upon walking into this restaurant, we were greeted kind of bluntly asking if we had a reservation. The inquisitor did not speak clearly and I was forced to have to ask what he said several times. Upon asking questions about portion sizes and what was best for our family, the waiter was very short with his explanations and desire to assist us with what was needed. The food was good however. Hands down, the most delicious meals we have had since we arrived in Ireland. We will be eating here for the duration of our stay in Dalkey. Authentic Nepalese cuisine with incredible blends of aromatic spices. Beautiful ambiance with quiet, relaxing music and exceptional service! You will not be disappointed! Recommend the Corms with chicken and Himilsyan curry with lamb.
The starter course was Aloo Chap, mashed potatoes seasoned with ginger and spices and then perfectly fried. The seasoning was perfect. The next course was Himalayan Lamb, again seasoned perfectly with spices, tomato and yogurt. The lamb was succulent and very tasty! The naan was freshly made and served hot from the oven. The service was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive. The waiter kindly made a small change that I requested to one of the dishes. The restaurant is bright, clean and cheery with white linen tablecloths.
We came here for the dinner on the may bank holiday. Restaurant is very spacious as it might not seem from the outside. We ordered momo and duck sekuwa for the starters and could not get enough of it, excellent. and for the mains we had himalyan curry and sherpa chilli. it was perfect dinner for us. I highly recommend to try here if you ever got near here. A place not to be missed.
Being deprived good Indian style cuisine in our home country , when on holidays especially in the UK or Ireland, we treat ourselves to our favourite food. Although the restaurant specialisig in Nepalese cuisine the menu included all the Indian favourites too, so we obliged too order from both regions. The meat from all our dishes was cooked to perfection and the dishes as a whole very tasty. The service was excellent, they even apologised to us because of bad behaving guests at another table. We will return next Dublin visit
Great selection of Nepalese and Indian food. The food was excellent. Staff were pleasant and responsive. Prices reasonable. Highly recommended.
