Bj's Brewhouse - Downey

Pizza was so good, so was the pasta and dessert! Waitress was awesome told us to add the app and we got a free dessert, appetizer and food came out fast.

I live in Downey and have been to this BJ's quite a few times. I have never had any issues with the food or services. However, these day the food taste terrible and was dry. Also, the waitress we had was not helpful at all she only came twice to check on us and both times we were already looking for her because we needed something. I was disappointed in both the food and services.

They steal from you. Beware your waitress may pocket cash payments and will over charge split payments. This is from experience! Last Friday our waitress decided to help herself to a $40 tip after dining out with a friend who left those $40 for his portion of the bill. After processing the bill correctly the waitress or management team went out of their way to refund the original amount we agreed to pay for and charged us for the full amount of the dinner. Not only did management fail to refund and correct this theft but it seems as if it is a common thing that happens as they were not surprised to hear the complaint.

I went on Friday 4/5/24 with a few friends. At the end we wanted to split the bill. My friend paid $40 in cash I was supposed to pay $62.08 on my debt card.Later that night I found that I had been charged $62.08, but then that transaction was reversed and I was refunded $62 and then charged the full amount of $102.08 on to my debt card.The waitress even asked “$40 cash the rest on the card?” And we said yes that is correct.Then she waited until we left and gave her self a nice $40 tip and then charged me for the full meal.I called and spoke to a manager. She told me to wait a few days for my refund. Which makes no sense since they were able to do this reverse charge that same night…F this I already called my bank to have this fixed.Never going back to this shady establishment ever again.
