Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Dover

I walked in to place a takeout order but was turned away due to drive thru orders only. Patrons should be warned in the future before wasting their time. This is not posted anywhere. Even from Google, it says takeout available. I understand dine-in is unavailable, but what she 's that have to do with takeout? Either update and advertise accordingly or educate employees if not true.

This was my first time visiting this Popeyes and I was disappointed. The service was poor and the staff complained that there were too many customers when there was only 4 of us. Additionally I had to go back in to get my sauce because they forgot it the first time. Don't like that their dining room is still not open. Only redeeming quality was that the food was good.

I really wanna rate this place better but man, I don 't think I 've had a single correct order in the 3+ years I 've been going here. I always wait months and think maybe it 'll be better this time. It never is. Wrong drinks, missing sides, missing sauce, wrong number of tenders/nuggets. It 's always something. The food itself is just ok. Tenders are too thin with too much breading. The sides are good but quite small. I don 't think I 'll be coming back again unfortunately.

I really like the cookies and fries, but I tried their specialty and did not find a consistent chicken course for which I would come back. It's okay, but I wouldn't buy an excellent taste more than once. 04-15-18 I have narrowed my favorites to the 5 pieces of spicy chicken fingers with beans and rice and a cookie and it is delicious! Move the 4-star to a 5-star rating. 2021-02-12 I tried the Cajun fish sandwich today. Not enough tartaric acid sauce, very little fish taste and everything I could taste was the Cajun season. It's not worth trying. Chicken sandwich for victory!

Nice hot and fresh, you can say that chicken was marinated long it was sharp as I like and crispy as it should be.
