The food was delicious and served warm. Our server was outstanding—if you're in the city and want a perfectly cooked steak, ask for Demhun (I hope I spelled his name correctly). The only downside was the potato skins, which were a bit too oily. But overall, everything was great, and the drinks were good too! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Texas Roadhouse:
Food is not that great. The corn I'm pretty sure was straight out of a can. The bacon on the potato was hard. They sell 97 cent Kraft Mac and cheese on the kid's menu for $4.50 and I'm talking about the powdered kind not the good stuff. The blooming onion still had the outer peeling on it so it was stiff and the middle was under cooked. The only half way decent thing was the rolls with cinnamon butter, but even they... The three star rating has nothing to do with the wait staff or food. It has to do with the poor attitudes of the very young hostesses. We decided to treat our son and his family from out of town to a nice steak dinner. Something we do once a month. When we first walked in the hostesses standing around up front did not acknowledge us at all. The ladies were too involved with their own conversations. One was on her phone not paying attention to anything. My son cleared his throat to get their attention. Even after getting their attention we were not greeted with a simple hello, welcome to Texas Road House, or anything. They seemed irritated we walked in. What was more confusing was the party of three in front of us. They were rushed to a table that was big enough to accommodate 12 people? We heard them tell the young lady that that was too big of a table for their needs. She looked irritated and went back and talked to the ladies that seemed to be hostesses. Instead of giving us that table, which would’ve easily accommodated our party of eight, we waited. The young lady seated the people in front of us, to once again, a table too big for their party size. We even heard the people tell her that they were willing to wait for a smaller size table. We got the impression customers were being seating anywhere there was an opening. Not taking into consideration the actual party size. We got the feeling the young ladies were too much in a hurry to get back to their private conversations. Besides the horrible hostessing we received that night, the food was wonderful and our waitress was outstanding. When we were leaving the restaurant, we again experienced something unpleasant. It looked as though there was two waitresses and hostesses all congregating in the front of the restaurant talking. It seemed like two were arguing or something was going on. Again, we were trying to walk through to leave and they were caught up in their personal conversations blocking the entrance of the restaurant. We witnessed an elderly lady almost catching the door in her face because two of the staff that were talking to the hostesses left with attitudes, not holding the door for the customers. Our son stepped in on time, stopping the door from hitting the other customer in the face. We all decided to come back for lunch the next day. To see if the same thing would happen because this is our go to restaurant. Well what a big difference! The hostess was older, friendly, and looked us in the eyes and greeted us with a big smile. Was very welcoming. And of course again the food was great and the waitresses were wonderful. Management really needs to clean house and pay attention with their hostesses. Maybe put adults up there because that evening was ridiculous. Not professional at all. If y’all can do a great job hiring waitresses and kitchen staff I’m sure you can do the same choosing better hostesses. Update: y’all notice the manager never made a comment about my review. This tells customers complaints are not taken seriously. They should use criticism to help improve the restaurant not ignore it.

It was the most uncomfortable Texas Roadhouse experience we’ve had. We were frequent visitors to one before we moved to Alabama. While we did get there at 11:15 today we waited a good 30min for rolls, which was disappointing but I guess that’s what we get for being early. My son’s mini cheese burger and fries some how came with bacon on the fries. The waitress tried to take his plate back and insisted on remaking, I declined because we had plenty of fries on the table and didn’t want to wait for a simple thing like fries. I ordered a Salmon Cesar Salad. I’m a huge fan of the Salmon, however the Cesar salad was more like Cesar soup. It was VERY heavily dressed. Our waitress was great about it and insisted the kitchen remake it, I declined and was happy just to eat the salmon, I didn’t want to wait for a new salad and didn’t want the kitchen staff to get mad. She did end up removing the salad from our ticket. The waitress while not to blame for the kitchen’s lack of preparation, putting bacon on things and overdressing a salad was just overly insisting on remaking our food. Like it was a mini argument with my salad. I just wanted her to take the plate away. I had already taken the salmon off and put it on a small plate. I don’t like having to have food remade. There just wasn’t any reason for her to insist multiple times after saying no.
So I don’t live in Dothan, I travel all the way from Tennessee and we eat here every time I come but NO MORE!! I had to send my steak back twice and when I cut it up it looked like the pic. I can’t eat pink at all, I mean at all!! Our waitress Ashley never hardly came to our table and we had to get this amazing waitress Mindy to help us, which that is who we tipped!! The cactus blossom was burned and our server didn’t even take it back cause she was hardly at our table, Mindy helped us with that too. The shrimp that came after my child’s plate was so nasty it couldn’t be ate. We was going to speak to the manager but her attitude was so bad to the table next to us we didn’t even bother. I won’t be back and if you live in Dothan I feel bad for you!!
I ordered from her app, and ordered only the dozens of rolls and waited over an hour to receive them, while other people who got their order received them their order before me. wing ins window and asked for my order and the entrance sat on the counter without command. it took 5 minutes to fulfill it. I'm sure if I never had gone into the window, they wouldn't have done my order. there was someone who ordered after me, who had additional roll with food in their order, who waited less time than I. If they only want to roll, order in the window it will be much faster than the app. would give 0 stars for the super slow service for just one order of roll.
