The cakes are described as "scrummy" and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate guests, even bringing furniture downstairs for a customer who couldn't use the upstairs tearoom. The menu offers delicious options including vegan choices, with the Indonesian Chickpea soup and Bakewell tart receiving high praise. While some find the prices slightly high and note occasional issues with dry cakes or rude staff, overall Iron Horse is recommended for a cozy and enjoyable dining experience. Don't miss the bubble waffles and milkshakes.
After three recent visits here, two cycling and one of auto (all electric) I can now confirm that the caffe in the iron house equestrian centre is more than worth the 11 odd miles for my latte fix and cake in the morning. all staff here are very friendly, coming and if they ask any questions about horse possibilities or the menu they are also very well understandable. 10/10 borderline eleven all photos are paul (pòl) ruddock photography 2022.
I often come here for coffee and cake. I arrived last minute to lunch with my mom and 1 year old. the staff went beyond and beyond for my little boy who can not have milk or soy. I honestly didn't expect them to take care of him. they were really good, friendly and welcoming. many thanks!
Great coffee shop! beautiful eating and coffee, served with a smile. Cyclists have very welcomed.
