Platypus Lodge - Dolphin Heads

A beautiful spot!!! Great host, coffee and carrot cake, such a tranquil place beautiful walks, then watching the platypus playing under the bridge, followed by a delicious lunch I would rate the chicken burger 5 star!! Perfect Day.

What an awesome place with the best customer service you could imagine that went above and beyond and that goes for the food as well. Even though he didn't do breakfasts on a Friday as it's a weekend thing he went out of his way to make breakfast for myself and some visitors from Cairns AND to top it off he hadn't even opened the doors when he saw me looking in at the window to see what time he opened. I can't recommend this place enough and I hope after reading this you go and enjoy a wonderful meal at a spectacular place.

Oskar at platypus lodge broken river in eungella national park found my wallet left in the camping park. Oskar went over and above to try and find me to return my wallet he even put a hold on my banks cards for me, I highly recommend the drive for such a beautiful place to visit. Thank you again Oskar really appreciate your honesty and generosity . What an amazing experience! Oskar is an incredible host who produces delicious food with impeccable service. Oskar knows how to entertain and delight. What a lovely lunch time stop. Well worth the 1 hour drive from Mackay. Highly recommended.
