The sushi at this restaurant is incredible. If you let René know that you have celiac disease, she will take extra care of you. I have never had a negative reaction when dining here. View all feedback.
What Oswald Daniel doesn't like about Aikawa:
I became ill from eating the Sashimi at Aikawa. My girlfriend mentioned that their sushi is quite average compared to places like Kyomi. The service was also lacking, as they seemed more focused on their regular customers. Overall, Aikawa is definitely overrated. View all feedback.

I had been a loyal customer at this restaurant for many years without any problems. I always ordered a chef's creation, which they would make gluten-free for me. However, during a recent visit to pick up some sushi, I discovered that my order, labeled as gluten-free, was actually covered in spice and made with imitation crab, which is not gluten-free. When I contacted the restaurant, they were very apologetic and offered to remake the sushi, but I decided not to risk it and asked for a refund instead. I am thankful for their understanding, as consuming the imitation crab could have made me very ill. Although I had never experienced any issues before, I may be more cautious with take-out orders in the future. It is possible that a new chef had just started, so proceed with caution when dining here.
I've been there for years without any problems, I've never been sick and trusted that they've met all of the shows. I always get a cooking creation and they make it gf for me. a few weeks ago we went to pick up some sushi as we often do, and when I came home, I live about 35 minutes away, but as a zöliakie, I am ready to drive for good and safe sushi) I noticed that although my order was marked gf, my sushi was covered with seasoning. I thought maybe it was something new, but as I wanted to take the first bite, I noticed that my sushi was made with imitation cancer; that's not gf. I called and the personal was wvery apologetic because in the did, her cockrope is not gf. she offered me to make new sushi, but I was no longer confident so that she reimbursed me what I appreciated. I could have been very sick. I'm not sure if I would make a pick up again without opening the box and checking every sushi before I left...but I went there for a few years without problems.can a new cook just have started?
Amazing sushi. ask for rené and mention them zöliakie, and she will take care of them because she is very aware of the condition. never had a reaction.
