I recently tried some of the best tacos at this restaurant. Their guacamole is incredibly unique and a must-try. I also enjoyed their special birria tacos, with a cheesy tortilla that was absolutely delicious. These tacos come with a dipping soup of flavorful broth that really enhances the overall experience. Walking through the door around 5pm, I get a penetrating whiff of old mop water, which I can tell has been used to clean the place. The server, unenthused, waved her hand saying can choose to sit The woman and I order our meal, waiting for Iowa to show us if Mexican food has any dignity here. I ordered the birria tacos, cant beat the price of $9 bucks. I also ordered Nachos and the woman ordered 3 types of street tac... View all feedback.
They make the best guacamole! I've never had anything like that before. it had gurken in it! wow, it was amazing! their tacos were on the spot!
Mariana's is my absolutely favorite Mexican restaurant. I have been going here since she was in the Drake neighborhood. I slowly worked my way through her menu, but some of my favorites are: Carna Asada, Steak Ranchero, Torta, Horchata, and of course her tacos. The decor reminds you of Mariana's home town San Sebastian and a lot of the furnature is actually from there. I have also taken various visitors from South America and they have always enjoyed the food there.
It's a little place! Pocito! Don't miss it! It's worth looking for though. Really good food. Muy delicioso. In case it's not obvious, the best thing to do is just order tacos. If you are solo, order 3-5. If it's for a family, order 20. If you dine in the tacos come arranged around the salsas in a tempting display. To-go orders are done quickly.

One of the bad signs in any Mexican restaurant is hearing a microwave over in the kitchen. I ::gasped:: wanting to leave, but the food has arrived. Well... everything was okay, every plate we ordered was bland. They could do better. If you're budget conscious, this place is for you.
Every time we go between Indiana and Nebraska we would stop here and always had a great lunch until this last time. As always we got a order of pupusas but this time it came with a hidden nasty surprise. A piece is raw meat was stuck to the bottom of one of the pupusas which makes me believe the food ready for consumption must be prepared in the same expect spot where the raw meat is being cut. Do yourself a favor and avoid this stop or risk getting food poisoning
