Decided to have sunday lunch at the Gate, food very disappointing, we both had roast beef which was tasteless, and far too much of it, veg didn't come until we asked for it, wish we hadn't botherd it was obviously frozen. View all feedback.

Popular venue, caters for all tastes, child friendly.
We got seated straight away and came to take our drinks order. When our drinks arrived we expected her to take our food order but we waited and waited in the end I went to the bar area and asked is it table service or we have to order at the bar. She said she would come to our table. Once we ordered our meal everything was perfect the meal was lovely and the service improved.
First time we have been here for quite a while and everything was fab no more to add . We will be back . Dotty
