We met some friends here who were staying in the area. As we wanted to bring dogs we double checked in advance and were told we could sit with them in the bar area not a problem at all. Our booked table was ready... View all feedback.
What LincolnBest doesn't like about Cavendish Arms:
We met friends here as it was halfway between us (drive of an hour and a half each) and the better reviews for the new owners encouraged us. Busy place and friendly enough staff, but food was appalling considering they ONLY serve a Sunday lunch... View all feedback.
Just had the 3 course Burns night dinner. Everything was lovely, the staff were attentive and they even accommodated menu swaps for us. Highly recommended
My wife and I went here for the first time since we moved to the village a few years ago. We both had duck as unfortunately they had run out of game pies. The meal was delicious and easily the best duck I’ve had in years. It’s a lovely little pub with friendly service and we look forward to eating here many more times in the future.
Please do not order there Christmas lunch £30 per head.It is truly dreadful, one of the worst meals out I have ever had.
We visited as we were staying locally to go to Alton towers so we booked in for dinner. Went up a bit early and played darts and had a few drinks in the nice new outdoor area then went in for dinner which was superb, lovely steaks and puddings, good choice of beer too and really nice staff. Loved it
