The food is, as always, excellent. We encountered a minor issue with the hostess, but when we brought it to the owner's attention, he listened and apologized. We'll definitely return soon; it's a wonderful place, and the owner truly cares about his customers. View all feedback.
What Esteban G dislikes about Nonna's Italian Bistro:
Both the soup and entre chicken marsala were too salty. I'm not over-sensitive. I don't order fries without salt. Not a complaint you will see in all my reviews, as it doesn't happen often. But ehhh, yeah. Too much salt. Salt should enhance flavor, not dominate it.Pasta cooked right, not over-cooked. That was fine. In this price-range I prefer Odyssey or Gaetano's. View all feedback.
First timer and the food was amazing! My husband didn't like the crab cakes to fish stick like for him but everything else was delicious and I'm already planning what to try next
My wife and I used to love coming here for date nights. We now live in Oregon but recently came back for work over a weekend. Nona’s was the highlight of the trip. The mushroom appetizer, lasagna and ravioli are as good if not better than we remember, and the Nona’s special coffee and tiramisu are as amazing as we had remembered. Wonderful staff, relaxing and welcoming ambiance, the best restaurant in Denver. We can’t wait to come back.
What a lovely dinner the minestrone soup was full of delicious and varied vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection and it came out hot. There was plenty of it too. The bread was just as good, great combination of oil and cheese. I had the chicken florentine and it was quite good. Chicken was tender, sauce was good and just the right amount, lots of noodles. I got the toffee lava cake for dessert and that was my favorite of all. Oh my goodness it was so wonderful, definitely get it if you like cake, chocolate, or toffee. Go early, around 5 or 5:30pm, or make a reservation, if you don't want to wait. They also do take out which is something I'd like to try. Staff was great, it was a nice relaxing evening with delicious food.
I come from a very large Sicilian and Spanish family where we cook homemade raviolis every year and have flour fights around the table, where our aprons are...
