The food was exceptional! These were the best oysters I've ever had in Colorado. The waitstaff was very attentive, and while the lobster roll was a bit expensive, it was packed with lobster meat and had minimal fillers. The clam fritters and crab cake Benedict were also quite impressive. The Bloody Mary comes garnished with shrimp and a half oyster. What Nels Medhurst doesn't like about Blue Island Oyster:
It was my first time trying this restaurant and I was a bit underwhelmed. Was looking for a special NY Day brunch experience. The food items we tried weren’t the most unique of their offering but were executed well, the space has just average ambiance. Nothing was exciting enough to make me want to return again. Love this place! Service and food are always wonderful. Best seafood in Denver!
Went there for Valentine's day and the food was amazing. You can try oysters from all over North America too and each one is different and amazing. We shared the Appetizer called the Chef and Shuck I believe and everything on it was tasty. If you go though I highly recommend you make a reservation. I've had their fish and chips before and it was amazing too!
The service the staff the quality of food and great menu everything was excellent.....and OYSTER!
Great service and awesome food! Loved the calimari appetizer the best!!
For appetizers, the octopus with chorizo is delightful, and the grilled oysters are also very tasty. The Oysters Rockefeller are perfectly cooked, with a light touch of spinach and a delicious lemon hollandaise sauce. The raw oyster bar is excellent as well. For the main course, the fried clam strips and grilled halibut are both delicious. They also have great cocktails and a wonderful wine list. Overall, this is a fantastic place!
