After almost 2 years closed Chef Mudana and his team of Dede and Made give the most fantastic cooking classes in Balinese, Indonesian and Sumatran cuisine! After we were picked up by our villa from the beautiful Wayan, we were greeted by the smiles and hospitality of the team in a way, only the Balinese know how everything in perfect English also. We spent 2 hours cooking a huge range of Balinese dishes, but also learn about the balance of flavors and key components, many selected from the chef's own garden. The team watched us carefully when we laughed and joked about our skills, and our torn Bahasa. The lesson was so funny, but the food oh wow! Each dish was perfectly balanced with taste and our great lessons with lime juice, salt and chili. For my girlfriend who is not so sharp on something too spicy, each dish has been adapted for both pallets. We had so much left to have a party for dinner. We stumbled over this sweet warung on our way home. Mudana and his team were super nice. It is very passionate about food and the restaurant offers a wide selection of delicious Indonesian and Balinese dishes and fresh juices. Very recommended!

Wonderful meal at Warung Makan SMS. When he heard, we wanted us to have time to take a class, the cook insisted on sharing his recipes. The food was excellent, the service was warm, fast and accurate. That was perhaps the best meal we had in Bali!
