Tavern 42 - Delaware

This restaurant/bar had several different owners, but the current owner/manager has brought the facility to a different level! There is a GREAT atmosphere and it is very welcoming! The menu offers a wide selection of dishes that AMAZING!!! There is an outdoor terrace, a large bar and a separate dining room that can accommodate large groups. They have live music on Friday night. I would recommend it to everyone!!!

Ripp the charts well! Prime Rib cooks perfectly medium rare. The French bath was fabulous. Service was great to make cooks round at tables that talk to customers about the quality of the good. Very impressive, we will definitely be back! Very recommended.

Excellent local tavern! The food should die and the staff is very polite. Meals are moderately expensive. To be honest, if the food was more expensive, it wouldn't stop me from eating there. If you ever find yourself at the corner of SR 42 and SR 257, you need to stop and have a beer and a bite. I promise you won't regret it.

We ate here last Tuesday with a group. We got a nice private room. The service was handled by Jess and was excellent, especially given the size of the group. I had a Ruben sandwich that was excellent. The conjured beef was lean, tender and not rigorous. And there was a lot when! Overall, our experience in Tavern 42 was great!

We have been here a few times with our family and tonight they had put their best foot forward... Our server Sam was the best she took our drink order, helped get the kids settled down and even took the time to explain all the different burgers to the boys! We will definitely be returning thanks to this amazing young woman. Might I say the food was just as equal and should be attributed to the 5 stars!
