State Street Pizza Company - Decatur

Good pizza. great salad. I wanted to try the pizza. I have the sliced pizza salad combo, not sure what was better! that was not a wimpiger besidesalat. will return definitiw.

As someone born and raised in nyc, I can testify that this pizza is the most authentic new yorker pizza west of the delaware river. when I grew up a child (50’s and 60’s), there were only three aromes of pizza: cheese, pfefferoni and sausage. I wish there was a state street pizza when I grew up. the restaurant was clean and the service was very friendly. there was a great choice of beer and soft drinks. this is a must stop place when they have in decatur, txi have a few suggestions, but that would add some ny authenticity: 1 have a Burly type in a white sleeveless T-shirt that squirts the teig behind the theke. 2 make them canister of garlic powder and red pfeffer available.3 the workers shake their heads in confusion when someone asks for a knife and a fork.

Came to lunch on Monday. space was very clean and welcoming. the staff was friendly, the menu was plentiful. we have the big pizza and had double ham supplement speck. slices are massifs like the pizza. they put the big box pizza companies with quality and quantity to damage. I'm sure I'll come back when I'm in town. we ate on the big to lunch and dinner and was a party of 4!

We stopped here because they had such a high Google rating and as usual, google doesn't lead them to be kidding! we were greeted by the most entertaining child (zane), who asked if we were here, and when we did not answer, he told us that it is the experience of a life and then used his sales office to tell us all about the delicious options. he was funny and sweet, but not transferred. but eating. wow. one of the best pizzas I had! great eating, great atmosphere, great service. It won't be better.

Food was good but, you will be greeted by “slim shady” himself. If you want to eat decent pizza in an environment full of kids who are trying to replicate a culture that does not belong to them then, eat at State Street Pizza. You will listen to rap while eating food!
