It seems to have gone down over the years. It's still a nice spot for a unique taste and location. Just know what you're getting into. Quality of food and service is just not what I remember it being in its prime or how it should be for the price point. Steak was below a choice cut, and fajitas meat just wasn't tender and not worthwhile. I remember the quality and service being much better 7+ years ago... Again, a un... View all feedback.
What Maddie doesn't like about El Asador Steakhouse:
This place really went downhill. The guacamole “en la mesa” is no longer made at the table. The portions are smaller. The vegetables are frozen. You pay $24 for half a quesadilla… will not be returning unfortunately. View all feedback.
We totally loved the food. Even the picky eater kids that I have loved the food. Very authentic and delicious. I am in total love with their Fajitas and my wife loved their steak. Keep up the good work and kudos to the chefs, waiting staff, management, and all
After a friend's recommendation, we visited this hidden gem in a quiet section of Detroit and were pleasantly surprised. The service was quick, the food was flavorful and fresh, and it arrived at our table swiftly. This spot is definitely worth a visit.
We sat and served quickly. eating was amazing and the landscape was very relaxed. they do not serve alcohol, but they can bring their own beer and wine to drink during eating. If they forget to bring their own, there is a party store on the street.
The filet at el asador was amazing! the whole food was really good! (I have been a bit of everything.we had a party of 11) the staff was very courteous, though I had to change the guests I had at least 3x maybe more lol. they also offered an excellent service. the fact that she could bring her own beer/winning, made the experience and prices much better. we will definitely come back.
Food and service here is always great. I've done a few online orders recently which have always been good as well. They need to update their online prices to reflect what you actually pay when you go in. My order total was around $75, and ended up paying over $105 with tax and their price increases (not including tip). I'm fine with the price increases, just need to be transparent with this when people place the order online, as it's a pretty significant increase.
