Food and service. I have been to more than 8 of Indonesian restaurant in Sydney, this was the first time for me to go to Teras Bali. The food was fabulous, the taste are original and the way the food presented on small bowls and platters even more make colorful. nasi goreng was tasty, satays were great, gado-gado was nice and Ayam Betutu or steamed chicken wrapped in Banana leaves served with lemon grass sambal was s... What Darren Carroll doesn't like about Teras Bali:
this restaurant that lost its way. I took two friends to lunch, just to be faced by a very reduced and confused menu. the courts clearly lacked authenticity and the service was less than enthusiastic. this is a scandal because I have been there for many years and always enjoyed the rich Balinese aromen. the restaurant must open its mind whether it will sell burger, fish and chips and slowly boiled lamb with the occas... I have celebrated my jubilee here and it was nice eating is spicy, I love it the taste really good more appropriate price the interieur for the restaurant is beautiful they have inside and outside. not really big restaurant yet is one. are all employees there working Indonesian I am also from Indonesia. but when I talk to them with Bahasa language, they only answer me so badly with English. it looks like they don't respect me.
Most pleasant experience. Being the only Indonesian restaurant in Sydney where they serve Babi Guling, I organised a surprise birthday dinner for my wife (who had a hankering for the dish) over the weekend and it turned out to be one of the best experiences for Balinese cuisine We had a party of and we had to choose from the Banquet Menu, and we went for set as per attached. We were not disappointed at all. Loved every bit of it Also, the staff were really good and since we had a cake for the birthday, they brought it out at the end singing Happy Birthday It was really nice of them Looking forward to my next visit to try other dishes out!
Average, but reasonable enough price for the location.. Some dishes were a hit and miss; the Kari somewhat watery and Beef Rendang decent, but the Spicy Prawns were flavoursome and provided a good chilli kick. Servings slightly on the small side, but decor was beautiful with Balinese wall carvings and soft candles. Service extremely friendly and deferential from the observant and pleasant staff. Chairs and table settings also of high standard; comfortable, and as expected when fine dining.
Was there to celebrate my friends bday, the spits was amazing, the rendang is lacking in thick, and much too casual, even the taste is there
Another beautifully situated restaurant with tables next to the water. my nasi goreng was tasty, but a bit lacked in size and spiciness for me. the service was very good, and this is somewhere where I would fortunately come back if in the opposite, but not necessarily looking for other wise.
