This is a gem and it is so much fun to browse through the art on display and have a very good Bistro Style meal that changes as the seasons do. Well worth the visit. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Picnic:
Went for dinner with 5 friends and we were all very disappointed with the meal. The atmosphere is really cozy the server was very friendly and the chef even came to ask if everything was fine but we all said yes to not hurt his feelings. We all felt that he really tried but it was just not satisfying portion wise for the price. Had a steak that was as tough as shoe sole. Unfortunately we will not be back! View all feedback.
That was a place where I knew I would never be disappointed. had been away for a year when I came home, decided to visit here for my birthday. the menu has not changed any appetizers at all. a slice of brot with butter if. they want a piece load. if they wish with their meal per person for couple per person. these portions are small, so it is nice to have appetizer, main meal and desert. the chef in this restaurant is incredible, but these changes do not bring us back.
To cancel the first visit. overpriced. had brunch, steak eggs served on a sandwich size hotplate. I believed that it was remnant from the outset, as the kartoffel was sponge and unfresh, as the spoon of salat was on the side. very good and unprofessional cooked. not dead. was charged extra for a side by toast and was charged for another tea on a tea refill. the Caesar drink was in a very small glass and certainly did not live up to all the hooplah that was given on their social media spots. total very bland meal. the area needs a good refreshment, kissing need cleaning, bank is too high on the table, at all not comfortable.
This place offers a very fascinating menu from beginning to end. there was no single article I didn't want to try. Unfortunately, we had only planned for a few appetizers. we have thoroughly enjoyed the mushes and fishcakes and are re...again unique and excellent taste. we will come back
Look at the dart gallery and its fabulous picnic restaurant. eating was amazing and the staff was very friendly / helpful. the price was very reasonable for the quality of food!
This is attached to an Art Gallery. We were there for brunch on Saturday. I had the Fish Cakes. Let me tell you. I had a lot of fish cakes in Halifax/Dartmouth area and these are far the best I have ever had. The blend...of salmon/shrimp/cod and scallop are out of this world. I am not a food critics but these really are the real deal. It is complemented with a salad. The background music that plays is excellent. The décor is complemented by the art from the adjacent art gallery. Highly recommend.
