We spent a good amount of money for all of it to go in the bin. A real shame. I won’t be ordering from there again.

The food is always fresh and tasty... read more I have been visiting Taste of China for what must be close to 15 years now. It is by far the best Chinese in the local area. The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff warm and welcoming. I highly recommend the Satay Chicken.. Honestly, better than any I have had in Thailand or Indonesia. I really can't say enough about how good this place is.. So much so, I will be picking up another takeaway tonight lol

I had... read more We looked at the take away menu but then decided to eat in. £25 each and minimum of 2 people. My friend and I choose the Vegetarian dishes. He had a beer. I had a non alcoholic drink as I was driving. Vegetarian platter excellent with extra spring rolls. Yellow. Bean prawn and cashew, soft noodle with bean sprouts, steamed rice excellent, a dish seasonal vegetables with oyster sauce was ok as needed more variety of vegetables. Talked about the Birds nest which is a special dish made the potatoes in a nest and a filling. I had this in Portugal with a friend from.Macau. Next time ring up and they will prepare it. Friendly staff.

Tonight however has been a disaster, had a very long wait for our takeaway, approx double the time we were told, on getting the food home the starters were of poor quality, the chicken and ribs both over cooked and no longer of the expected soft consistency which we always love. Our main course was of dubious quality, the roasted duck poor and my wife’s king prawn dish was not in our order but we did have sewer and sour chicken which she does not like. Very sad that we now need to look for a new takeaway as we will not go back, especially as the service was so poor. Please beware!

I had taken away twice from this restaurant since I moved into the opposite and honestly I can say it is the best Chinese I had in years! the food was perfect w... read more I had taken away twice from this restaurant since I moved into the opposite and honestly I can say it is the best Chinese I had in years! the food was perfect where I could definitely see that fresh ingredients were used, with good taste and the dishes were pipping hot. the service at both locations was extremely good and professional. I will use this establishment again and would recover it to anyone who is after some decent chinese.
