A great family diner. I travel to Illinois and Iowa often. I make the West Wind a regular stop coming or going. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

I had been meaning to try this diner for a long time. I was very disappointed! My country fried steak looked like something that came out of a frozen dinner, and tasted the same. I will never eat here again, or recommend it to anyone. Easily the worst diner experience I’ve ever had.

Our breakfast and coffee was delicious! I had the chicken fajita omelet with American fries home fries) and french toast. Hubby had the Irish Benny poached eggs over corned beef hash) and pancakes. Everything tasted home made. We also ordered a slice of eggnog cream pie and strawberry cheesecake to go which was also delicious.

Heard about this place from friends and took family on a Sunday for lunch. Easy access from freeway and plenty of parking. Small family owned typical diner. Atmosphere isn?t much but food and service are great and for 3 adults total bill with 20% tip was $52. 2 had breakfast skillets and 1 a wrap. Skillets we?re more than plentiful and made to order.
