RJ Mexican Cuisine is a hidden gem in the West End. The food is great and the drinks are fantastic. We were waited on by Pedro who gave us the perfect amount of service. I’ve been there multiple times and never disappointed.

On a Monday night we arrived early for our reservation, about 30 minutes because we wanted to catch happy hour. Only 2 other tables in the restaurant were busy. And our party was larger than the original 8. The staff was very rude and upset that we arrived early and made us wait for 10 -15 minutes before anyone came to bring us water or take our beverage order, there were more employees than customers but no one would pay attention to us. The happy hour margarita drinks are very watered down and not worth it. The website said happy hour ended at 6 yet the waiter argued with us that it ended at 4. The food was good not great but service was not good.

The staff was accommodating with our large group. Service was friendly and timely. The food was great! Fun atmosphere and music! We were in Dallas from several different states. It was our first time and the experience was excellent!
