412 Public House - Cullman

Came up there today from Birmingham and it was totally worth the drive. Food was outstanding. Our food took a bit longer than I would have liked BUT it was obvious that each order was being made fresh as it was ordered (I had a view of the kitchen area for my seat). Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great for a girls lunch!

We stopped for dinner on Friday night and had only about 15 minutes waiting. The place was full. 412 has a small but cute small terrace area outside. Inside, lots of seating, but very close together. They had a good selection of drinks, but our complaint is that everything was released without the wine menu. So if you are not familiar with all the bottles, you need to ask your server for all their prices. Our waitress was wonderful and the food came out pretty fast. We ordered the Chartreuse Board with sausage, fried cucumbers and sprains/Pimento cheese, which was great. The crabcake meal was well cooked and tasted good. Two fillets ordered in our party with potatoes and spits. The potatoes were extremely dry and needed more butter, not a ton of taste. The fillets were good, but not cooked by medium rarely as ordered (one was rare and the other was medium-sized). No children's menu, but they're trying to pick up. We also ordered the cream of brittle cheesecake and Limoncello cake, which was delicious.

Good food. Nice place with great food. We had the tacos. They were loaded with shrimp, cattle and pigs (1 each). Large spices and pico de gallo above. The chips were light and crispy. Service was good. The seat is a little tight if that's important to you. I'm sure you'll be happy there.

I got the salmon special and sous chef Tyler did amazing!!! Every bite I had I thought “wow this is good”. It’s the type of good where your doing a little dance in your seat.

412 is consistently excellent. Still my favorite restaurant in Cullman. I had the crab cakes tonight, delicious! He had the chicken wonton appetizer for dinner, unique and yummy. And of course a side of brussel sprouts, so good.
