We had a splendid lunch at Bacoa, enjoying so much that we came back and ordered take-out for another meal later during our stay. Everything was simply delicious, and the staff was so helpful and sweet. We ate at several places along Alvaro Obregon, but Bacoa is definitely a stand-out. Highly recommended! View all feedback.

I am a great fan of a program called "Man vs Food" and everytime I watched Adam eating brisket my mouth would inmediately water hoping to try that dish. After years of looking, my hopes were answered in this restaurant. Brisket is not a very popular dish here in Mexico, the closest thing is "suadero" and "birria", but still smoked dishes are difficult to find away from our very own style of "barbacoa".- The RestaurantThis place inside has a very "western country" style. Wood is predominant wich causes an effect of relaxation upon arrival. Some dishes and dessert are introduced in open view refrigerators. When I arrived, they were playing latin music (most of it salsa) wich made me think it wouldn't fit to this location since the music was kind of breaking the mood a place like this would offer.- The MenuThe menu introduces the usual dishes you would find in a restaurant wich focuses on meat like beef and pork steaks, soups, melted cheese and then some. Nonetheless they highlight their specialty wich is the smoked cuisine. Chicken, salmon, ribs and of course my goal, brisket. They assure that all smoked dishes are cooked with certified "mezquite" wood wich provides an unique flavor different from other woods. Personally I can't tell if it provides an special flavor but I did enjoy it.Though the flavor of their bbq sauce is amazing it was still somewhat spicy for me so I would recommend them to have a sweeter option.- ServiceThe waitress was always paying atention if I required and service was fast. But what I enjoyed the most was Mr. Miguel Angel chat about food. It was noticeable his passion towards food.I also consider price as part of the service and paying for 260 pesos in a minestrone soup, bevarages, brisket and an apple crumble plus all the service indeed exceeded ALL my expectations.I wish them success on their restaurant, so I keep returning constantly. If you are in the zone, pay a visit... you will definitely enjoy it.
