I was in the area and decided to visit Ikea in Croydon. While there, I had a meal at the restaurant. Instead of my usual order of meatballs and chips, I opted for a bowl of soup and garlic bread which was delicious. If you have an Ikea Family Card, you can enjoy a free hot drink with refills, making it a better value than Wetherspoons. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. What carolinefinch1 doesn't like about Ikea Cafe:
A sad shadow of its former self. Virtually no food choice, tiny portions and dirty chairs. We used to enjoy this as a cheap and cheerful treat, but it's rather bleak now View all feedback.

Be sure to explore the market hall during your visit, as you may find some great deals. I also discovered that Ikea Croydon is convenient for those traveling by public transport, with easy access to the Croydon Tramlink and various train lines.
We had a wonderful dining experience on October 18th. The server, who happened to be a gentleman of African descent, was fantastic. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very reasonable. The staff really stood out as being exceptional representatives of the company.
Food is if lucky Luke warm Meatballs never hot but tasty the gravy so cold. Chips Luke warm tea is disgusting so go for canned drinks. It’s cheap. Meals just need to be hot. Breakfast is awful though cold fatty bacon tastes like powered eggs. Again never hot food. Such a shame. As nice enough to sit chill before or after shopping. Cashiers kind helpful most serving are one woman though so moody. Its cheap and do like the meatballs chips. Teens do too just want hot food.
It’s so disgusting, I couldn’t eat . They should not be selling this non-eatable cat food . Don’t eat anything from them that’s my suggestion
We had fish and chips and it tasted wonderful. The hot dogs were great too and great value for money.
