Stopped by for their Taiwanese fried chicken, which is definitely better than their counterparts around Chinatown. Would recommend the seaweed flavor, which adds a great savoriness aspect to the crispy, juicy chicken pieces. There is plenty of seating and service was very quick. They change their decor with the season. View all feedback.
Their chicken is soooo good! I would also recommend the egg waffles and the Taiwan-style sausages, which are sweet and salty.
Cha Kung Fong is tucked away near Tufts Medical Center in Chinatown. Parking in Chinatown is usually difficult, but that street is usually my go-to, so it made sense for me to check out this place (also because I can never pass up on boba). The inside is pretty spacious and usually empty. I've been here twice and have tried the popcorn chicken, iced classic milk tea with boba, and hot taro milk tea. The popcorn chicken was pretty good, but the portion size was small for the price, compared to that of Moon Flower House down the street. There was nothing special about the classic milk tea, but I really liked the boba when I had it because it was freshly made, soft, and sweet. I'm not sure if it is consistently like that, but when it's good, it's good. The taro milk tea, however, was a big miss. It tasted very much like powdered taro, and I regretted buying it.
Got pistol chicken crisp and delicious was devoured in the car before even getting home)Spicy chicken strips not too spicy my child enjoyed the taste and ate plenty) the coating is awesome and crispyChicken sandwich not spicy awesome chicken sandwich was juicy and delicious will knock hamburgers off the map)Brown sugar milk tea ordinary but the boba was on point. Perfect chew not mush and was cooked all the way through)Gotta come check this place out.
One of my favorite boba shops around Boston! I go here every time I go to Chinatown haha. My go to drink is their rose milk tea with sweet QQ jelly (basically it's white pearls). My husband also loves their classic black milk tea with brown sugar boba. Their boba is chewy and perfectly cooked (not under or over cooked). I've also tried their mango coco sago and strawberry smoothie, and both are decently good and refreshing, but I would definitely prefer their milk teas over these fruit smoothies. The service is quick and will answer your questions if you have any. All in all, great place to hang with friends lots of seating!
Takoyaki tasted like the real deal. Tea a bit sweet for me, but my son liked it.
