Brenda Lee - Crossing

Brenda Lee is great tasting Mexican food at a great price. The tacos and fajitas can't be missed! Service is quick and there's never a rush to leave. Parking is sometimes scarce around dinner time.

Loved their ambience and food was amazing. They had fresh ingredients and all the dishes were flavorful. The server was comfortable speaking in Spanish; lucky our friend is fluent in Spanish! We had ordered Empanadas, Tacos Tostas. We were a party of 4 all of us enjoyed the food. We took left overs home. We gave them over 10% in tip Only to realize that the server had already added 15% gratuity plus close to 2% for using Credit card. Felt kind of cheated but the food was great! Will go again if in town but will be careful to check the itemized receipt ????

I stopped today w/my Son, and the Owner was there. I showed my server a long hair coming out my plate, keep in mind that I'm bald!! They laughed and did nothing about it; Neither did the Owner. We loved coming to this place, but following this im afraid I'm going have to limit my relationship with the place and people there.

My father in law found a long black hair in his food . Also the chips they give you they scoop it with there bare hands and the salsa they used the same one that the other customers dip there chips so is not a clean place is disgusting and I don't recommend you rather go to Don jose in netcong and I'm really sick to my stomach so Brenda Lee please shut your doors for good ...also they didn't want to take off the burrito with the long hair off my bill but after back and forth they did but I feel they really didn't....but never again I would go there.

I was expecting more because all the reviews but not really Mexican pozole kinda style, but I think they use the same broth from other, I doesn?t taste a real pozole , but otherwise the fried tacos ?flautas? are ok , service sad not friendly
