Big Apple Pizza - Cranford

We often order a plain cheese pizza from this restaurant. We had never ordered a complete peppermint pizza before in our lives. Tonight, we called to order a simple pizza for delivery. After waiting for an hour, we received a complete pepper and chocolate pizza, because the person who took our order over the phone entered it incorrectly into the system. The delivery person contacted their boss and connected us with the person responsible for the mistake. He insisted that it was our fault, either because we ordered the wrong pizza or because the person who took our order misread it as a pepper salad and we confirmed it. We did not order peppers, nor did they repeat our order back to us as pepperoni. He informed us that they could either send us the correct order, or if we wanted to keep the pepper pizza, we would have to pay the full price for it. Since we had already waited for an hour, we did not want to wait for another order, but we also did not want to pay the full price for the incorrect one. The person responsible continued to insist that we were mistaken and did not know what we had ordered. We understand that mistakes happen, but given the situation and our long-standing support of this company, we expected better customer service and an effort to rectify the situation. We returned the pizza, requested a full refund, and will not be returning to this establishment.

They offer a variety of options from their special pizza slices to their chicken caesar wraps, tuna wraps, etc., as well as pasta dishes. The food is fresh and reasonably priced with plenty of options to choose from. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

I was scolded for not knowing how to input a correct delivery address, and the owner claimed that the driver drove around for over an hour looking for the right location. I know for a fact that the order had left the business at 12:08 and I was on the phone with him at 12:40, so it was only 30 minutes, not over an hour. The owner said he was too busy and suggested that if I wanted my order, I should come pick it up in person. This was one of the rudest encounters I have ever had in the food industry. He essentially told me that he didn't need my business. Well, he won't be getting it in the future. I canceled the order and went to a different restaurant in Little Italy instead.

Great place for pizza, salad, sandwiches and many Italian foods. nice staff, I'm definitiw back.

Fantastic owners with fantastic pizza! i recommend the bbq chicken, buffalo and the chicken franchese!
