I cannot agree with the last review as I have not been here for years and found the place totally different. No Salad bar, no Red phone box etc etc.We were greeted by a young lady called Teela who could not have been more helpful...even though she had only been here a couple of weeks. We met the new Manager Wes who again was very helpful and we were served by Brody who again was very helpful, polite etc. Could not ha... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Craigie Tavern:
This place has poor food, and the prices of drinks are overated. They dont have specials and pretty much only really cater for the sportsbar locals. I'm local cragie resident and id rather go to the beldon tavern then come here. Seriously they need a better atmospher. View all feedback.
Always a value for money meal. $5 Schnitzel, chips and sauce on a Wednesday cooked to perfection. How can you go wrong? My favourite by far is the parmys as big as your plate. Everytime we go somewhere else we always say it wasn't as good as the Craigie and it's a bargain.Have been going their for years and it's a true aussie pub.Photo is from $15 parmy night a few weeks ago.
A group of us called and made a reservation on a Wednesday night. On our arrival we seen it was $5 snitty night and it as awesome one of the best snittys I've ever had great size strongly recommended. Also had a great range of beers on tap and great tab area.
Went to the craigie tavern resteraunt on sat arvo for a bit of lunch before the rugby union started my partner and son had the steak both really enjoyed it I Had the curry of the day lamb vindaloo which was spicy but not too hot they also do a Saturday special which I had the Last time here chicken parmigiana and a pint. Of coors lager for $15 the size of the parmigiana was huge no kidding I'm a big eater and I couldn't finish it and it was really tasty into the bargain served with chips n salad as I'm doing dry July I didn't want the beer so as that's part of the deal got the curry but if you want a brilliant deal that is it all three of us finished all our meals and happily went.on our way the sports bar is a typical workingmans bar with a tab not for everyone but as I'm a working man I like the place and you can have your meal there too while watching the racing the resteraunt is seperate and nice and clean they do other specials most days and the food is always good not al a carte but good substantial pub grub we will be back
Good parking available with easy access to the tavern. The restaurant is a good location but needs to be refurbished as looking very dated. A good menu with various selections and prices and are very generous! Service was good and quite prompt
Used to love a WEEKLY meal down at my local pub, since salad bar is gone which is due to new management I'm assuming I haven't been back
