First, Liuzza's By The Track is not a Cajun restaurant. It is more like a Louisiana bar restaurant. The gumbo is among the best in town and we also had the oyster po boy and the reuben. It is a great neighborhood place but also a go to for visitors. View all feedback.
What Renee Tundo doesn't like about Liuzza's By The Track Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews:
I paid 25 dollars round trip to get here and you were closed!!!! It said open UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE WHEN YOU ARE A TOURIST ATTRACTION!!! Wasted my money with nothing to eat! I’ll never come here again and we visit twice a year! View all feedback.
This place is amazing! Really energetic friendly staff. The food was excellent. If I come to Louisiana again I'm going out of my way to come here!
Not just my fav restaurant in my neighborhood but one of my fav in the whole city. That said, their new summer hours suck and don’t make any sense to me. Closing at 3 on a Saturday and 8 on the weekdays? Wish I could’ve gotten some food but I guess you’re now a lunch place on the weekends.
Small neighborhood restaurant with very good gumbo on par with the version from Dooky Chase. Both versions were excellent. My wife liked fried okra which was pickled. I thought it needed to be spicy also otherwise very good. The crawfish etouffe was very good and had lots of flavor. The fried oyster poboy was very good but the taste was hidden by the large bun. Would definitely come here again.
Best ruben sandwich I've ever eaten. It's definitely a locals restaurant. My husband got the garlic butter oyster poboy he said it was delish. We're already planning our next visit.
Food and service are amazing. Definitely worth a stop.
