I love Frankie and Johnny’s! I come to NOLA several times a year and always make it a point to have their oysters, gumbo and usually a poboy. Friendly, fun local atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re a part of it it’ll you’re not from New Orleans! View all feedback.
What Simone R doesn't like about Frankie Johnny's:
My boiled crawfish was excellent but I got the last 5 lbs $7/lb) at 7:30 pm after a 30 minute wait for a table so arrive early! The other 3 members of my party had mixed results. View all feedback.
Fried chicken was OK, not great, and reportedly had an “old frying oil” flavor. Fries were good.
Gumbo was good, lots of meat, and the jerk chicken poorboy was good but the person who ate it said they would have enjoyed roast beef more.
Chicken parm for another member of my party was reportedly delicious!

Old school NOLA. Red beans are excellent. Po boys are excellent. Beer is cold. We come back on most visits.
