My husband and I keep going back to this little place and ordering the same thing: arrachera steak and baked potato. The meat is to die for. The potato is just a potato but add the crema to it that they serve and it makes it pretty tasty. The portions are generous, and we can easily share the steak. What לביאה אייכנשטיין doesn't like about HC de Monterrey:
HC de Monterrey specializes in arrachera. They do it well, but in my opinion there are better places for this on the island.Arrachera is a relatively new specialty, basically fancy (beef) fajitas. This restaurant does it just fine and they have some nice sides such as a whole grilled onion. View all feedback.
The meat melts in your mouth..very helpful staff..a little off the tourist path which is a good thing..a no miss

It is a little cooler if you sit close to the street. Good service, generous servings, and good prices.
It is hard to find this butcher shop located away from the main drag. We keep coming back to this very simple place for mixed grill every time we are on Cozumel. It is fresh and tasty.
My wife and I walked down to this restaurant one evening because she wanted meat. It was early evening and we were the only people there, so the service was very good - even the owner wandered by for a chat. She ordered a small serving of ribs, which came with this amazing combination of cabbage and jalapeno peppers. My shrimp came with steamed veggies and a baked potato. I sampled her cabbage and was most envious - and I'm not a cabbage fan - it was really, really good.Finishing her ribs, she confessed that she should have ordered the large rack as they had been delicious and she could have quite easily have eaten more. My shrimp were quite good and the potato was (as someone else remarked) a potato. My steamed veggies were not as good as her cabbage.Would we go again? Yes. Would I request the cabbage and jalapenos instead of baked potato and veggies? Most definitely!
My wife and I eat here once every trip to Cozumel. The casual atmosphere, low prices, and delicious food keep us coming back. We always get some sort of mixed grill, with various grilled meats, along with an onion or potato. (this time we also had queso fundo and guac - yum!) The arrachera is the ticket.
