Clay Oven - Coventry

Waited 2 hours to be told our order was 5 mins away, waited a further 15 mins to then be told we had to wait another hour!! cancelled order to then be told thank you that's a relief saves us a job we didn't want will never use again. now ive got to make sure they don,t take payment for a order we never got. attitude on the phone was shocking

We placed our order at 6:28 pm and were told it would take about an hour for delivery. After waiting for 75 minutes, we contacted the restaurant and were informed that the food would be another 10 to 15 minutes. After an additional 30 minutes, I was about to call ChefOnline to complain when the order finally arrived. The delivery person did not wear a mask, abruptly handed me the food at the door, and left without offering any apology or explanation. When I questioned him about this, he replied rudely, saying that I was on the phone. I explained that I was on the phone to complain, and he became verbally aggressive. The food was average, but not very warm.

The food at this restaurant was excellent, however, I had a problem with the delivery driver. Instead of bringing my food inside the building, he left it outside on the pavement. I had an asthma attack shortly after placing my order and asked the driver, over the intercom, to bring the food inside as I needed a few minutes to get downstairs. When I called the restaurant to complain about the driver, I was accused of lying and the person on the phone was very rude. The delivery driver claimed he had called me, but he had not. I was extremely disappointed by the way I was treated and will not be ordering from this restaurant again due to the poor customer service. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the food.

Great food and not had a problem with service. I would say this is my second favourite indian in coventry!

My only go to Indian take away in Coventry. The duck korma is fantastic and service is always fast and efficient.
