We yelped a restaraunt to eat at as we were returning from chopping down a tree. This popped up with 5 stars, so we thought it was worth checking out! Everything we ordered was delicious and very friendly staff! View all feedback.
Great service and the food was awesome. I could not eat all of it. Great place to eat

While I was visiting my Brother in Council ID we got together with Pastor Geoff Cole, and his wife Judy. Geoff is Pastor of Council Valley Assembly of God Church in Council. Bret and Doris Armacost, owners of McCall Lake Cruise joined us. My Son and Grandson and I were Elk hunting at the time. I called the Rib Cage at 7:00 PM to alert them a party of 8 was coming in at 7:30. They close at 8:00PM. I have been in the Hotel, Hospitality Industry for over 50 years. What a surprise and delight we found in the Rib Cage. The owner graduated from Council High school. At 19 moved to Texas where he learned how to cook Texas Southern Bar BQ. He married then decided to move his family back to his roots. He started up The Rib Cage. In my travels to all 50 states and 57 countries I can honestly say I've never had better Bar BQ. I'm from Atlanta GA. We love Fried Pickles. I was surprised to see them on the menu. I ordered half half, chips and spears. Reluctantly all my guests tried them. The basket emptied in 2 minutes. They loved them. The special of the night was Beef Ribs along with Spare Ribs. 2 ordered the special. They came with 2 side dishes of which there were 10. Pulled Pork, Smoked Turkey, and Ham for others. Salads were fresh with a variety of vegetables added. Coleslaw, Texas Beans and cornbread to die for. With no room for desert and to go box's for the left overs we reluctantly had to say good bye for now but will soon return. For sure on my next visit to Idaho we will drive up to Council to dine at the Rib Cage again. 5 Stars for Sure for both the food and the warm friendly service from everyone.
Can't beat this place! Real sweet tea, delicious food and an Auburn fan to boot!
