Tortilleria Nixtamal - Corona

Been here so many times. They never disappoint. Great food. Great people and great prices.

My wife and I were there to celebrate my sons birthday with his friends on 03/04 sunday). Even though we had a reservation for 7:30 PM and we arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 we were unable to secure a 6 person table till 8:40PM. Our group had to split into two and we kept hearing 5 minute more and on on on.. It was pointless making the reservation and the restaurant should do more to give preference to people who make a reservation. Or if people come before the reservation time they should be politely told that there is a reservation for the big table for 7:30PM. The people before us teens) although had paid their bill but had no urgency to leave and were just hanging out and the hostess was requested 6 times before he finally I am not too sure) showed the people just hanging there some urgency. I have been going to Nixtamal for over 7 years now but solely based on my last experience I will not go there again.

It’s a tiny neighborhood place with few tables. The service is good but the food (for a Mexican restaurant) was bland. Even after the hot peppers I asked for (there is a charge for that) the food still needed some seasoning.
