Jade House Chinese Restuarant

I came across this small Chinese restaurant while exploring the town on a Saturday night in search of dinner. Despite the long wait for my chicken chow mein, which cost over £7, I found it to be overly salty and more reminiscent of chop suey than traditional chow mein. There were very few noodles and a lot of sauce, making it more like a soup. I even wondered if I had been given the wrong order before finding the noodles. Although the restaurant was open at 7pm unlike the local fish and chip takeaways in Perranporth, I don't believe it was worth the wait. While the food was hot, it wasn't anything exceptional. Overall, I don't think I would return to this restaurant in a hurry.

Good quality food, ordered 2 main meals enough for 3 people very good value, friendly service, well worth a visit.

We usually use the other Chinese in the village out of habit but when that was closed we gave Jade House a try. For a comparison we ordered dishes that we would normally have. The food came out reasonably quickly and was still good and hot when we got home. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was equally as good as from the other takeaway, some dishes were definitely better (e.g. Sweet and Sour not so sickly sweet), others not as good (e.g. Black Bean Sauce not as spicy) but we enjoyed the meal and now know that we can try either place as and when necessary.

This Chinese takeout is the best ever. I have been a regular since 1987 and have never encountered any issues. Sometimes I have had to wait due to it being busy, but that just shows how popular and good it is. I am ordering tonight for the 24th of December 2022 when they open at 5 pm.

After reading some of the reviews i wasnt sure about trying jades but god im so glad i did. The food was fantastic lady behind the counter was very polite and only had to wait roughly 15 mins will definetly be going back before the end of our holiday thanks jades very full and happy.
