What User doesn't like about Twins Eating House:
Everyone in my group thought the food was fantastic, and that the place was very clean, but you definitely should know going in that they charge $2 for ?filtered? water and that they do not serve alcohol. View all feedback.
As a local, I eat here often for breakfast and lunch. The food is always consistent and delicious, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. It's also the best place in town to bring my family, as the spacious dining room is always clean and well-run. Their menu is extensive and has something for everyone (although I find myself eating their chili most of the time ha). Hope to eat here for many years to come!
The burger was delicious but the root beer stole the show. Fantastic customer service and wonderful experience. Glad I got the chance to enjoy it while watching the rain coming down
Surcharge for water is an insult. they claim it’s due to costs of them “serving” the water and use of their cups, etc. surcharge for using a credit card as well. the owner is NOT polite or kind. Common courtesy is not given (although maybe for another surcharge politeness might be offered).. Food is very average and as a CELAC person, this establishment is not allergy friendly. A LOT of Cross contamination and although they have “GF” French toast, no effort is made to keep things separate.
We went into Twins for the second time ever this morning. Our first experience was so-so but Fiddlestix had a long wait so we decided to try it once again. The waitress came to our table and asked for our drink orders, at which point she informed us that a glass of water costs $2. The reasoning she gave me for charging $2 for a glass of water is that their water is filtered . I have never heard this before in my life, and if you are charging me $2 for water it should come in a bottle. The food came out quickly, but it seems like they use a lot of oil in their cooking. Overall the food was decent, not horrible. Service was alright. As a nice 'icing on the cake ' their menu prices are cash prices, and using a debit or credit card costs more money.. Its almost like they are trying to suck.I hope it was worth making $4 on that water today, because we will not be returning due to that charge alone. Truly absurd that they feel the need to make money on a glass of water. It says a lot about the way this place is managed. If they cared about their customers they would let us hydrate for free like every other business in the state.
Food was great. Service was nice and fast. We went first thing in the morning and was out in less than an hour.
