We ended up at Luna Rossa thru reviews on Google. Totally off the beaten path in an apartment complex, we were not sure at first. The place was packed and everyone was a local! I thought this could be a blessing in disguise? Initially we were going to take a pizza back to our Airbnb but the owner Giorgio convinced us to wait and made sure we were seated! The whole thing with this wonderful Pizza is to enjoy it hot and such a thick yet really fluffy bread! Wow! You can try and find trendy decor pizza places and pay an arm and a leg! Until you try this home made pan style pizza from this God like Pizza Maestro Giorgio!! You are missing out on a local eatery with really nice Paysan from the North of Italy. I had a great conversation with Giorgio about how we found him and the great experience to eat among locals celebrating Birthdays and other Family events. This place is a cultural experience not to be missed! I cannot wait to go back! Than you Giorgio and Staff for your warm welcome! Sam

There are no English language reviews for this place, which would have been handy for us, so I'll add one. This is a no frills place catering for eat in and takeaway, but it's so popular you might as well sit in rather than wait. It's not touristy and well off the beaten track, the locale may put you off with many derelict buildings etc. However it is very clean, very tasty and ridiculously cheap. I don't think they even expect tips but I left one as they worked so hard. Expect to the only non-local in there, and you will get a few second glances but in no way unfriendly. If you find yourself at a loose end in the Hotel da Vinci and don't fancy the 10 euro pizza slice take a short car ride here.
