The seasoning in the tender steak was surprisingly good. Everything tasted fresh and the young server was great. This is a great little discovery. Will return. Look at the size of the el famous Burritos. Enjoy! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Fogata Mexican:
I had high hopes based on the 4/5 star rating, but I was quite disappointed. It was a Friday evening, and there were hardly any customers in the restaurant, yet the service was still extremely slow. The queso was soupy, the shredded chicken was barely seasoned, and the enchiladas were something I wasn't used to. At this point, I've decided it’s not worth returning. View all feedback.
The food was tasty, but there were too many flies. We had to throw our food away constantly. I wouldn't return.

I ordered the tamale plate, but I didn't enjoy it from the very first bite. Hoping it might improve, I took another bite, but I still found it unpalatable. My partner ordered the fajitas, so I approached the manager to ask if I could return the tamale dinner since I had only taken two bites. I assumed this wouldn’t be a problem. However, the manager informed me that while she could take it back, she couldn't remove it from the bill because I had ordered it. I expressed my disbelief, stating that if she were dining out and tried something she didn’t like after a few bites, she would send it back too, as I had never encountered such a policy before. The waitstaff were unfriendly and didn’t even greet us with a smile. What happened to the idea that the customer is always right? Ultimately, the manager did return and removed the charge for the tamale from our bill, but the experience had left a sour taste in my mouth. We will not be returning to this restaurant, and it’s clear why the place was so empty.
I ordered pick up on Cinco de Mayo. Our food was cold!!! The guacamole was dark brown on the outside indicating that it had been set out for a long time. The tamales had a funny after taste, and the enchiladas were just chicken in a wrap. We did not receive any refried beans. Poor quality all around. Very disappointed.
Ordered take out and my fiancé and I both got food poisoning from the chicken and shrimp fajitas. So sick entire night long every few minutes and we had to go get fluids. I called the restaurant just to let them know, hoping they could prevent others from getting this sick. I let the lady who answer know, she passed the phone to someone else who asked me to repeat myself and immediately hung up on me. Very unprofessional.
