update previous review because it has become our goto in gables. we like to try new restaurants and many are rally good, but if we compare mesa mar is our coming back up and over. the seafood pasta with wine sauce or red are light but rich in taste. the appetizers are a not missed and the service is attentive and friendly. also the prizes are great. one can't be missing. came here to have lunch with my mom for Mother?s Day and it was the worst experience ever. The waiter was very rude. We ordered wine and he placed them together on the edge of the table and left..they could?ve easily fallen over, a waiter should place them in front of each person by their plate. The Lobster with the creamy mild chili sauce was sooo good. And the scallops were amazing.
Amazing grilled langoustines and grilled octopus. Only restaurant in Coral Gables where u can get scallops without bacon. A for Mesa Mar
Great food as always except that I ordered grilled calamari but got fried ones instead.
Lovely spot tuna sashimi, seared scallop appetizer, Chilean sea bass were all delightful. Very friendly, helpful staff I highly recommend!
The owner offered me a service and then charged me for a more expensive one and refuses to refund the money. The place is very nice but she is not an honest person. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT
