What Quentin Davies doesn't like about Pub Dog And Partridge:
We got the Christmas platter with it being that time of year. Too many things like the potato wedges look like they'd been bought from the local shop and served on random plates Got the idea behind it but at a person it was poor. Needs refined and fresh cooked food Gluten free menu, we asked in advance but on the day they gave us different options which doesn't help Staff were lovely View all feedback. What Russ Hore likes about Pub Dog And Partridge:
I know the title might sound but we stopped for a snack during a circular walk from Whitehaven to St Bees and back. We just wanted a sandwich, which many places don't do on a Sunday, but the staff were more than happy. They warned us there might be a delay due to large groups in the restaurant. We asked for a chicken fajita, fully expecting a prepared cold wrap. What came out surprised us both. It was cooked chicken... View all feedback.

Cycled to this pub from the harbour for a meal. Very nice pub. Excellent food. Would return again if ever in the area.
Always a warm welcome here. Food is fab, great menu and friendly service. Love the recent refurbishment.
The Dog & Partridge offers a mix of experiences, with some mixed reviews in terms of food quality. Customers have noted some dishes could be refined and cooked fresh while others praise the homemade chips and attentive staff. Inconsistent portion sizes and food quality were highlighted, with some mentioning an abundance of mashed and roast potatoes. However, most guests found the food to be superb and the service excellent. The welcoming atmosphere and cozy environment in a small village setting were highlighted, making it a recommended stop for decent pub fare at reasonable prices.
