I visited Cross's Cafe for the first time in many years and was impressed. Low prices, friendly service and a very clean environment were big selling points to me. Also the cafe is very spacious inside. so you won't struggle to find a table. 5.30 for a large cappucino and cheese on toast is very reasonable these days and the cappucino was beautiful. I had high hopes for this venue but was a bit disappointed. The coffee was hot and tasty, although on the smaller side. The toastie had a generous amount of meat filling, but was slightly burnt and not completely sealed. The menu was simple, flexible, but limited, with some prices not clearly displayed. Lunch was great, home made vegetable soup and proper sandwiches. The food was good wholesome and filling, everything was served exactly as it should be, quickly and fresh. Thank you.
This is just a wonderful little cafe I love it. The hot milky coffee is the best in town,the soup is lovely and the cakes are freshly baked. All the staff are very friendly and helpful
We go every week for milky coffee and a toastie, wouldn't go anywhere else! My family have been going here for years, not much has changed but you know what your getting! Friendly staff and good food

Added to their menu since i last visited a lot more choice, fresh homemade soup is the best i've tasted friend said it was better than her nanna's coffee and real cadburys hot choclate Staff and Atmosphere in a word SUPERB
