What David G doesn't like about The Riverside Chocolate House Tea-room:
I rated this restaurant as terrible because it is CLOSED. My family has been stopping here for many years on our way to Anglesey, but the interior has been completely changed. Additionally, if you stop in the car park to use the toilets, there is now a 30p entry fee, cash only. View all feedback.
On a beautiful day, my partner and I decided to try something different than our usual restaurants. He suggested a place he knew, and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is cozy inside, with a few tables, as well as outdoor seating. I ordered a tuna mayo sandwich and my partner had a corned beef baguette, both of which were beautifully presented and delicious. The bread on my sandwich was the freshest I've ever tasted on a pre-made sandwich. We ended our meal with apple pie and cream, which was served exactly as we requested and was also delicious. The staff were friendly and professional. They offer a great selection of chocolates and a small but nice collection of gifts and souvenirs. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.
Dulcie and Allan continue to uphold their already high standards of friendliness, cleanliness and great food and drink. Their artisan chocolates are a must have. As I say to folks coming in to visit North Wales make it a first stop. We purchased a quirky sheep flower pot to remind us of our visit. Well done ...
Came across this little place on our way back from anglesey, so glad we stopped by the sandwiches was the freshest we have ever had lovely friendly owners and staff very polite even our dog got a doggy treat. We treated ourselves to a selection of the most gorgeous chocolates we have ever tasted wished I had bought one of each of the display .there was ample parking and a kids playground just across the way and also a small nature walk over a bridge made a lovely stop of for us to exercise the dog too.Would not hesitate to pop back in when we are up in anglesey again or in the area its a five stars from us.
Positive aspects of this restaurant include good coffee and a friendly young man serving tables. However, there were some negatives as well. The woman taking orders at the till was abrupt and appeared very stressed. While it's understandable that everyone can have a bad day, her demeanor made me feel uncomfortable to the point where I considered leaving. Thankfully, my husband needed to eat at that time. Despite the welcoming issue, the lunch, coffee, and sandwiches were delicious.
Fantastic place and fantastic service for everyone. Even offered to fill My water bottles on my bike. I had a latte and chocolate cheesecake and it was really really good. Thank you. Will be back
