We stayed at the Golden Garden for 2 nights whilst visiting Hampi. The accommodation is ideally located just outside the main village in a very peaceful setting, and I felt this added to our experience of Hampi. The bamboo huts are basic and comfortable, located in a communal garden setting. We had planned to eat in the main village as we usually like to try different places whilst away, but the food here was so good... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about GOLDEN GARDEN:
I am very unhappy with the guy there. We were a bit late and that guy first told us that there is nothing in the kitchen except for rice and dal and we agreed to eat that. And even after half an hour, he didn't serve us food. Whereas I could see he was serving all kind of food to foreign tourists. In the end we simply came out of the place. View all feedback.
The location of this restaurant is fantastic. It is a wonderful place with great ambiance. We had a delightful experience during lunch.
During our visit to Hampi, we spent 2 nights at the Golden Garden. The accommodation is conveniently situated outside the main village in a tranquil location, enhancing our experience of Hampi. The bamboo huts, located in a shared garden, are cozy and straightforward. Initially, we had intended to dine in various places in the main village, as is our custom while traveling. However, the food at Golden Garden was exceptional, prompting us to have all our meals there. The staff was extremely friendly, and tuk tuk drivers were readily available to take us to nearby attractions.
We ended up at Golden Garden by chance, as we met a girl who was staying there for only 600 Rps per night. This was a much better deal than the disappointing stay we had at Padma Guesthouse. Our guesthouse had warned us to only eat at the Mango Tree, claiming everywhere else would make us sick. However, after two visits to the Mango Tree, we were let down. We ended up meeting our fellow travelers for breakfast at Golden Garden and continued eating there for the rest of our stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even adjusting the spice level of the food to accommodate my preferences. The food may take some time to be prepared, but it is freshly cooked and definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend Golden Garden. Thank you for a great experience.
The food is amazing and costs much less than anywhere in Hampi. The staff is very friendly and makes the stay very relaxing and pleasant. It's something out of the main basar, but we went to lunch and dinner in most days when the food kept us back. Would recommend everyone visiting the area.
This place is located along the river side ruins. Has well ventilated rooms which makes you feel almost in touch with nature. Extremely friendly staff, owned by a guy called mahesh who is so courteous! Ask for hot water at anytime of the day and...it's there! His own brother is a guide who is also very knowledgeable! Would Definitely recommend him. Food at this place is tasty and worth every penny!! You must stay here if visiting the ruins is your agenda.
