No.1 Chinese Restaurant is a really yummy place to get food. They have many meals to chose from. The sizes are mostly pint or quart. Rice is automatically included with the meal. There are the Special Combination Plate you can get for less than $10. It comes with whatever meal you wanted, an egg roll and chicken fried rice. If you didn't want the egg roll, you can switch to crab Rangoon for free. If you didn't want t... View all feedback.
What Eugenia Nasarre Otín doesn't like about No.1 Chinese:
I ordered Hot and Sour soup and Chicken Curry. These are both supposed to be spicy dishes, but both were SO bland. The soup was a big nothing, neither hot nor sour. The curry was the same, NO flavor. It did, however, have a lot of chicken pieces in it. I was so disappointed. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes flavorful dishes. I'm really sorry, I love Chinese cuisine and I had high hopes. View all feedback.
I stopped here for takeout on a crate trip. I picked a place because of the 4.4 star reviews, my son had chicken fried rice and he liked it. I ate the crab goons, which were nothing special, but nothing wrong with them. The fried dumplings were overcooked. The food was fresh and hot. This place is dirty. They say the bathroom will give you a good indication of what happens in the kitchen and the bathroom was filthy. The door knob was so covered in Greece that I didn’t want to touch it. The light switches, wall near the light switches and both sides of the door where peoples hands touched it, had hand grease. I’ve never seen it this bad. The bathroom sink had a bucket under it to catch the drips. The counter area still has the Covid items up, which is not a problem for me. The problem was that they were plywood and cannot be cleaned and were dirty/greasy. The person who waited on us was very pleasant. The dining room is basically a storage room for the restaurant. Our experience will lead us to look for other places along the road next time.
The food is decent however they messed up my order and instead of trying to correct it they told me that I asked for the lunch special. I asked for the general tso’s combo that comes with an egg roll and instead I was given the lunch special.I’m allergic to seafood so I never get the lunch as it t comes with a rangoon. Last time I checked combo and lunch special were 2 different things. My lunch break was over so no option to wait for the correct food to made. Very frustrating and a waste of money.
Quick and good food. Was on an out of town trip and wanted something close. Food, service, and speed was great! Will eat here again on my next trip to GR.
Very good and affordable Chinese entrees for takeout. Family owned and operated. They do not have dine service ever since the pandemic however. It's been our go to for many years now.
We ordered late night take out right before they closed. They were a little pushy, calling my phone 3 times on our way to pick up my order, just to see if we were coming. But the food was spectacular. Some of the best Chinese take out I've ever had.
