We attended a wedding in Denver and were recommended to try Mill Creek for a meal and drinks. Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed every bite! The award-winning Bacon Jam burger was outstanding. The waitstaff was attentive, the beer was cold, and the owner, Scott, was not only friendly but also hilarious. He’s definitely in the right business. Mill Creek, you should think about expanding to Denver or Fort Collins for... View all feedback.
What K Nic doesn't like about Mill Creek Tavern:
Aged Bar in Comstock Park has a reasonably sized menu featuring standard bar fare. Our group ordered the wedge salad with chicken and the chicken Caesar wrap. The wedge salad was generously portioned and met expectations for a typical wedge. However, the chicken Caesar wrap was rather uninspiring; the Caesar dressing was not very authentic. The fries, which were an upgrade, were definitely the highlight of our meal—w... View all feedback.
The service and food are top notch. The bacon jam burger is worth the trip alone. Also picture pickle fries.
Once again no pictures, but only because it took so long to receive our meals we were all starved and more than ready to eat. That said, I give them a pass on the service because they are only 4 days into their reopening at the hopefully end of the pandemic and all the problems brought on by that. I can say the new owner was very helpful and friendly, as were the several servers that waited on us. As for the food, it was worth the wait, I had the Bacon Jam Burger along with both the chips and fries, they were very tasty. The servers recommended the House Ruben and after a little confusion on whether they were available it was discovered the YES they were available and those that ordered them were pleased with with them and that they had lived up to expectations. The olive burgers were a hit too. All said for now I will give them a 3, because they went over and beyond to explain what was going on with the kitchen and staff, and they did everything they could to make things right and that we return. Hopefully the next time the kinks of opening will be worked out and the reach their full potential. The 9 of us did all agree that we will be back, and hopefully be able to give them a 4 or 5 star rating and based on their attitudes and determination I am sure the will.
Great service and food. The Pommes were fantastic! Our server was attentive, but not floating. We had the Bacon Marmeladeburger with Fritten. Access to the parking lot is easily missed and not marked. To the east it's about the alley in front of the building.
After all the positive contributions recently over Mill Creek Tavern, 4 of us decided to make the 30-minute drive and check it. Love supports local companies, especially with new owners. Win our experiences a 4 out of 5. We have the Philly cheese steak with cut ribey, bark dinner, beef burrito, bacon jam burger, with Scott's totten and smoked white fish dip for appetizers. Most were great except for two things. The smoked white fish was all smoke taste, like something from a can, between us 4 we couldn't finish it. The burgers only come well (very surprised), which really reduces the skill of the burger. Prices very reasonable, staff very friendly. Will be back.
Shout out to Mill Creek, had a large group of 18 people, called around to see who would take such a large group. Mill Creek Tavern accommodate us all. Yes I gave them a few days notice which is always welcome. The staff and manager where very friendly and the food was excellent!!!!!!!! Thanks. Most of our group have never been to Mill Creek. They all said they had such a great time and definitely would be back again.
