Ben's Chop House - Columbus

Was very disappointed by the experience. My husband and I were looking forward to a nice steak house in Columbus. We were in Buckhead Grill and wanted to try Ben's Chop house. The ambience was overwhelming. The service was pretty bad. We ordered an appetizer that was no longer available. Then we ordered a special one on the day they were out of. We were repeatedly told that we would soon get bread (fresh from the oven! and it never came. The food was good, but not great. Our table was not immediately deleted during our meal. In the end, we were disappointed and decided that it was worth saying something about the service and kitchen problems. When the manager came, he seemed really uninterested in our experience and impressions. If we pay for a Entrée $30-45, we expect a good service. I can honestly say we will not go back and go back to Buckhead Grill, which has great food, great service and great ambience for the same price.

Came to Columbus to see my son at Ft. Benning. We have seen an ad in my hotel directory about Ben 's and decided to try it with a party of eleven, including a four-year-old. Everyone was satisfied and the food and service were so good that we went back next night. The sweet potatories were the best of all times, the spinach with tomatoes, garlic and onions was correct and the rib eye steak and trout were perfect. One of the locals said the place was good, but expensive. Hey, I'm from New Jersey and we found it a good value. If I'm back in the area, I'm sure I'll visit again.
