Huck's Place - Columbus

I eat for lunch here about once a week while I work around the corner. The Boudin balls with the Remoulade sauce is great. Not badly old-fashioned.

A wonderful culinary experience! Great food, friendly waiting staff. We will visit Huck's Place again. Good price. All five of us ordered something else and everything was so good.

My wife and I baked a first-class rib and potatoes tonight. Meat and potatoes were good. The menu said it came with horse sauce. When it was not brought with the meal, I asked for some. Our waitress said they did it. She offered to bring a horse I took. This was fresh and tasty, but I thought it was strange that they were not ready to use a menu selection as it was described. The rest of our service was excellent.

The food here with an employee and our meals were pretty good. The service was a little slow, but friendly. I had the Crawfish Enchiladas that I found to be an interesting and tasty Cajun Tex-Mex fusion dish, and the Turnip Greens that needed some vinegar were simply OK. Overall, the place was all right and I would return if I ever returned to Columbus.

Nice surprise in downtown Columbus, MS. Atmosphere is cozy pub style casual. Ordered fried green tomatoes and red beans and rice. Both were very tasty. Fried green tomatoes were covered with a remoulade sauce that was good but would probably get on the side next time. Red beans and rice were seasoned well and served in a good portion size. Will visit again, have plenty of items on the menu that peaked my interest.
